Vehicle Overview

The 2018 model year marks yet another entry in the sixth production cycle of Hyundai's front-engine front-wheel-drive compact car, the Elantra. This generation of production is still relatively new, having kicked off in 2016. As a result, there are not an awful lot of changes; there were some features shuffled between trims, which are the SE, SEL, Value Edition, Eco, Sport, and Limited.

Projector headlights and dual fold-away power side mirrors are among the standard exterior features on the latest Elantra. Upgrade to the SEL, and the side mirrors get heating ability, and automatic headlight control and a hood insulator are added. Going with at least the Value Edition upgrades the trunk with hands-free smart technology. On the Sport and Limited, turn-signal indicators are added on the side mirrors, and the halogen light bulbs on the taillights are swapped with brighter and longer-lasting LEDs. Only the Limited has super-bright HID headlights, which are accompanied by dynamic bending technology for more accurate illumination. Fifteen-inch steel wheels are fitted on the SE, 15-inch alloys go on the Eco, 16-inch alloys go on the SEL and Value Edition, the Limited rides on 17-inch alloys, and the Sport has 18-inch alloys.
